Hi all, we have decided to build a team and charter a raceboat for KC. So far we have a crew of 3 experienced sailors, meaning we have two-three slots for folks who want to race and are willing to pay a share of the charter fee. We are looking at a racing trimaran, corsair 27, which is a fast and fun boat in both light and medium to heavy air. We have campaigned her in KC before in the multihull class, and sailed her fun and fast around the bay of phuket on a leisure adventure as well, so we have some nice working background with her performance. About myself: I crew/race on a J122 in the United States and cruise on the weekends on several larger boats (36-50ft). For the last 3 years I have run mast/bow assist on the J122 "Elbow Room" (Google us). I run hand over hand until we reach the top. I am 31 years old, 6ft 2in/188cm, weigh 230 lbs/105kg, and can bench press 200lbs/91kg. I can pay for myself, willing to pay for the charter fee. I currently live in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam working as an engineering project leader for a power tool manufacturing company. Background - Last year we had a great run in Compass Rose, taking third place out of 6 in multihulls, with one bullet in the buoy races, heavily shorthanded. This year we are coming back, and bringing our mates! This year we have a brand new A-sail, the new genoa from last year, and a solid full main.
